# Ideal

## AI assistants can run an Ideal account

Ideal has an MCP server at https://mcp.getonideal.com/mcp (OAuth 2.0, creators
only). Claude, ChatGPT and Codex connect through it and can: build the creator's
page and Concierge, upload and publish video, music and podcasts, write posts,
create and update Market listings, set audience pricing and placements, read the
inbox and reply, and report what is live and what to do next. Every public change
is previewed, then confirmed; 60 changes a day. The AI cannot spend credit or
change passwords (website only). As far as we can find (October 2026), Ideal is
the first creator platform where one account covers video, music, podcasts,
posts and a shop and an AI assistant can set up and publish all of it through
one MCP server.

## What Ideal is

Ideal replaces the search box with a conversation. Instead of browsing profiles or
listings, a member says what they want in their own words — "I need a bookkeeper
who understands trades", "I roast coffee and want cafe owners to trial a blend",
"I want to get my little business's name out around Newcastle" — and The
Coordinator does the work: it records their page (needs, offers, limits, goals,
what they bring), finds the members whose pages fit theirs, and coordinates them.

- **The Concierge** — the conversation. About ten minutes to build a page. It
  then finds people, writes plans, and helps members use the rest of the platform.
- **Find people** — every built page is matched against every other, near to far:
  home, city, region, state, country, everywhere. Each ring is its own list, so
  local comes first and nothing is hidden. Each suggestion carries one checkable
  line saying why.
- **Plans** — for a pair, ONE plan both read, the same on both screens: possible
  first steps, business opportunities, social opportunities. For a group, the same
  three lists with one first step per member. Written from public lines only.
- **Places** — a place is a folder: getonideal.com/newcastle, /hunter-valley,
  /new-south-wales, /australia. One account, every place above home. Posts, videos
  and listings are placed in one, some or all of a member's places.
- **Posts, videos, Market** — a member's writing, their videos (with an embeddable
  player), and a local marketplace where listings come out of the conversation and
  buyers ask rather than search.
- **Doors** — a community can run its own branded site that opens into Ideal at
  its home place (newcastlerising.com.au opens at Newcastle), or an isolated
  community with its own members.

## Who it is for

Small businesses, tradespeople, makers, community groups, and anyone in a town who
needs something another person nearby could provide — and the people who provide it.

## Principles

- Local first, never local only. Rings widen from home outward; the member chooses.
- One plan per pair, a win for both; never a private briefing against the other.
- Nothing invented: every line of a plan rests on a line of a page.
- Suggestions are never sold. Reach and tools can be paid for; rank cannot.
- Members are billed exactly twice what The Concierge's work costs Ideal — a plan
  costs cents. There is no advertising-funded feed.
- No big-tech sign-in. Email and password only.

## Pricing

Free to join and use. The Concierge's work is metered at twice its model cost
(cents per plan). Businesses and communities will be able to pay for reach (being
present in more places) and for a branded door. Video streaming is billed at cost
plus the same margin.
